New Executive Director

Michael StrohI A M A is pleased to announce the selection of its first Executive Director. Through an agreement with New Tribes Mission, Michael Stroh has been made available to IAMA to serve as Executive Director on a nearly full-time basis.

Since its incorporation in 1990, IAMA has been a totally volunteer organization led by busy people in their spare time. This has always hampered the organization’s ability to provide timely services to its members. Six years ago the board voted to grow to meet its members’ needs. A full-time executive director was near the top of the list of needs to make this happen.

Michael has been involved in corporate aviation through flying and maintenance. For the last fourteen years he has served with NTM Aviation. Nine of those were in Indonesia as pilot/mechanic and later in the role of Chief Pilot. He has a love of purposeful aviation and a strong desire to see the body of Christ work well together. With his helpful manner and quick sense of humor, he  leads others by serving them.

Michael’s college major was in Intercultural Ministries. He has since done post graduate studies in Aircraft Accident Investigation and in Aviation Safety Programs. He also took some undergraduate classes in Aerospace Engineering. His latest responsibility with NTM has been as Director of Safety.

While Michael comes with some financial support through New Tribes Mission, we still have financial needs to fully fund this position and the expenses that will go along with it. IAMA has no ability to generate income other than through membership dues and contributions.

We are therefore seeking donors and sponsors. If you are aware of people who would be interested in sponsoring the growing IAMA network through donations of money or resources, have them contact Michael at Michael_Stroh@iamanet.org or direct them to the IAMA website, www.iamanet.org, where they can donate online. We are able to offer sponsors acknowledgement on the website and at the IAMA Annual Conference.

Think of it: your contribution would benefit over sixty different missionary aviation organizations in a very tangible way. This is a strategic and valuable investment in God’s kingdom that will bear fruit in the years to come.

We believe that Michael’s considerable gifts and abilities will be a great benefit to all those in missionary aviation, and we eagerly look forward to working with him at the helm.
