IAMA Conference 2010
The 2010 IAMA Conference will be held April 21-23, 2010 in Tucson, Arizona.
The conference itself will be held at the Tucson Baptist Temple, about 3 miles from the hotel (Shuttles will be provided). Jack Walker, former MAF pilot and executive, will be the banquet speaker. Tim Sanford from NTMA will be the keynote speaker. There will be presentations from MSI, a Quest Aircraft technical performance session, and many others. Several fun activities are being planned, including a tour of UIM Aviation, a visit to Pima Air Museum and others. Wives are encouraged to attend, and there are plans to have some activities especially for them.
In addition to the conference, we will be offering an optional special course on hostage survival, taught by Fort Sherman Academy on April 19 and 20. The cost for this optional training is $300 per person. Space is limited, so please respond immediately if you would like to attend.
The hostage survival course will take place at or near the hotel where we have reserved a block of rooms for both the course and the conference:
Holiday Inn Hotel& Suites, Tucson Airport North
4550 S. Palo Verde Rd. Tucson AZ 85714
(520) 746-1161 Fax (520) 746-0036
We have negotiated rates of $69.95 per night per room. There is a free airport shuttle, continental breakfast, and free van shuttles within 5 miles.
You can reserve your room on-line by Clicking Here.
Stay tuned for more information coming.
A special note: Due to the feedback received from previous conferences, we will try something new this time. Instead of having organizational reports given by individuals throughout the conference, we are asking you to submit an organizational report of one or two paragraphs in writing in advance by April 1, 2010. These reports will be copied and bound into a booklet that will be distributed to all the attendees at the start of the conference, to allow for better networking throughout the conference. Pictures are welcome, but please include the name and contact information of the person who will be representing your organization at the conference.
More details will be sent out in the next few weeks, including an agenda and brochure, but we wanted to let everyone know the overall plan early enough to make appropriate arrangements.
